Who are the groovies?

Originally formed in 1976 (or so): Mike, Rich, his brother Rodger (Elliott), Dave and Steve formed a garage band in Lowell, Mass. and rehearsed either in Mike's mom's basement or in a small guesthouse behind Rich/Elliott's parent's place, known the "Little Red". Brian came along a few years later, and through an "impossible to chronicle" series of band name and band member changes over the years, the guys got together again in 2001, and did some recording in Brian's office basement. After those sessions, and several others with a variety of different band members, the group have recently gotten together again (commemorating their 30th anniversary) to do another project under the name: the groovies. The photos span 30 years of friendship and sharing a common passion for the music. For the most part, the audio performances are from either the 2001 sessions or this current session (beginning in late 2005), with much of the material written as far back as the late 70's and refreshed to make it more technically "current". The band represents a number of diverse musical interests and genres, but it all seems to come together somehow in a complimentary way.....Listen for yourself...
